FACING OVARIAN CANCER features advice from women who are living with ovarian cancer as well as some of Australia’s leading gynaeoncology specialists, including doctors, nurses and psychologists – covering all stages from symptoms and initial diagnosis, to treatment, side-effects and support.
The DVD was funded by the Australian Govt Dept of Health & Ageing and produced in consultation with:
• Cancer Australia
• NBOCC (National Breast & Ovarian Cancer Centre)
• OvCa Australia (National Ovarian Cancer Network)
• A National Committee of gynaeoncology specialists
• A cross section of women with ovarian cancer.
The program is dedicated to the late Senator Jeannie Ferris, who championed the cause of ovarian cancer, and the late Susanne Turner, whose quest for more information on the disease originally inspired this program.
